I was checking out John Chow’s excellent blog today and came across his post about the Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder. Apparently a lot of people are buying these and are starting to use these to “Videoblog”. I don’t see the point here. All recent model point and shoot digital cameras (I have the Casio Exlim EX-Z1200 , 12 Megapixels, it shoots at 30fps) has the ability to record video and sound. Also, it takes 12 MP photos (with a flash) as well. So, to me it would make more sense to buy a good digital camera use the video function, pop out the SD card (or even use the wireless sd cards) and save yourself $150.So, of course I can’t really say one way or the other about whether the $150 for the Flip is worth it, so I will test it out and post my results here. I will also post the cheapest I can find it as well… Stay tuned!
